About Judhar

From its start as a single-vet clinic in 1994, Judhar has expanded to be a group of ten privately owned small animal clinics across the greater Brisbane area. Founded and directed by husband-and-wife team Andrew Beattie and Dr Judy Harbison, Judhar has grown into an environment of passion and care for the veterinary industry.

Judy and Andrew both graduated from the University of Queensland - in Veterinary Science and Agricultural Science, respectively - and now lead busy lives with their family while running the company. 

As well as the primary business Judhar also has nine grooming salons, two catteries, a Veterinary Rehabilitation Centre, and an e-commerce platform.


About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate business support manager. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide IT and HR support, training and Help Desk function

  • Ensure all IT Hardware/Software and data assets are maintained and operationally efficient at all times

  • Collaborate with the support office team across all operational management functions

  • Recommending ideas to improve ways of working in line with continuous improvement of software and adding value to the business

  • Dealing with the unexpected and changes in priorities by proactively problem-solving to find solutions.


The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

The candidate should have knowledge and experience in the Veterinary industry, with strong IT knowledge or interest in continually learning different IT software & hardware. You should be humble and resilient, wanting to help others succeed and grow, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent time management skills, and your strong ability to prioritise work and problem solve.

The candidate should have proven experience and success working independently, within a team and with various internal and external stakeholders. The ability to adapt, listen and collaborate, find and execute improvements and processes and lead change is crucial. With a flexible and creative attitude towards work, you will fit well within our culture.


The right candidate will be part of a high-performing team and will be expected to have the following:

  • Tertiary qualification or experience in a related field, such as Business, IT, Commerce, or business management desirable but not essential

  • Knowledge of RxWorks is highly desirable

  • Two or more years of experience in a leadership or managerial role

  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and organisational skills

  • Project management experience is advantageous
